Expanded polystyrene (EPS) has very good insulation, protection and safety properties, making it suited for fish product packaging. The good news is that fish boxes can be compacted.
Using a Cobalt polystyrene compactor, fish boxes are pre crushed in the hopper and compacted by the screw. This produces solid and uniform blocks that can then be sold onto recyclers for revenue.
Our machines benefit from a compaction ratio of up to 50:1. For every 50 trucks that initially collected the fish boxes, this is replaced by just one truck collecting the compacted EPS. This reduces collection costs, your companies carbon footprint and also brings in an additional revenue stream!
